 Job Description
  • Plan, schedule, and supervise all maintenance activities across the property
  • Ensure timely repairs and upkeep of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
  • Monitor building infrastructure, guest areas, and back-of-house facilities for safety and functionality
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns, service requests, and emergency repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, inspections, and asset performance
  • Lead and train a team of technicians and contractors
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure work quality and safety compliance
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, F&B, and front office teams to minimize service disruptions
  • Manage maintenance budgets, procurement of tools, and inventory of spare parts
  • Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, fire codes, and environmental standards
  • Liaise with external vendors for specialized repairs or upgrades
  • Support energy-saving initiatives and eco-friendly practices
  • Ensure guest comfort by maintaining lighting, air-conditioning, and water systems
  • Respond to guest feedback related to facility issues with professionalism and urgency
 Skill Requirement
  • Demonstrate advanced technical proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems, with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills are essential, preferably at an advanced level, to manage technicians, delegate tasks, and maintain service standards.
  • Advanced planning and organizational skills, capable of scheduling preventive maintenance, tracking repairs, and managing vendor relationships.
  • A high level of safety and regulatory knowledge is required, ensuring full compliance with fire codes, environmental standards, and workplace safety protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset, with a commitment to sustainability and guest comfort.
 Qualication / Certification Requirement
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in property maintenance, facilities management, or engineering operations, preferably in hospitality or resort settings
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety
  • Certification in safety compliance (e.g., OSHA, CIDB, or local equivalents) is highly preferred
  • Basic computer literacy for reporting, scheduling, and communication tasks
  • Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English; ability to communicate with vendors and cross-functional teams effectively
  • Leadership experience in managing technicians or contractors is highly desirable
